Summer Camp

Presented by St. Mary’s Elementary Faculty

Grades listed are 2018-2019 school year levels

Morning Camps – 9-11:30am
Afternoon Camps – 12:30-3pm

Camps are $20 each
Payment can be made with cash or check. If attending multiple camps, please write separate checks payable to each teacher. Please do NOT make checks payable to St. Mary’s. You will receive confirmation of your registration by email once it has been received by the teacher.

Registration forms are due Friday, May 17.

Monday, June 3 • Morning Camps: 9-11:30am

Edible Engineering (Neil)
Open to: current kinders only
Learning is sweet with science that you can eat. Have some fun and play with your food while learning the science behind it.

Let’s Play with our Food (Thompson)
Open to: current K-3rd graders
We will create and eat edible slime and edible playdough.

Pop Bottle Ecosystem (McManus)
Open to: current 3rd-5th graders
Live fish is involved! (Limit 10)

Students will create and learn about ecosystems. They will build an ecosystem using dirt, a live fish and flowers to take home and observe all summer long!

Monday, June 3 • Afternoon Camps: 12:30-3pm

Edible Engineering (Neil)
Open to: current kinders only

Food Science (Thompson)
Open to: current 1st-4th graders
Science experiment with skittles, hopping corn, M&Ms survival challenge and apple volcanoes. Please wear old clothing and plan on being outside.

LEGOS! (Neil)
Open to: current kinders only
Hands on practice with science, technology, engineering and math.

Fun with Legos (Crager)
Open to: current 1st-3rd graders
Students will explore with legos using many different STEM activities!

Wreck It Ralph! (Harris)
Open to: current 2nd-6th graders
Students will work together to take apart examples of outdated and modern technology to learn about how they work and how they were made. If time allows, they will get to use the parts to rebuild their own creations.

Tuesday, June 4 • Afternoon Camps: 12:30-3pm

LEGOS! (Neil)
Open to: current kinders only
Hands on practice with science, technology, engineering and math.

Wonderful World of Colors! (Crager)
Open to: current 1st-2nd graders
Students will learn more about the primary and secondary colors while creating some awesome art!

Super Spies (Clawson)
Open to: current 2nd-4th graders
Do you have what it takes to be a super spy? Learn some super spy tricks and earn your Secret Spy badge. Then get ready for your first mission!

Little Picasso & Mini-Matisse (Neil)
Open to: current kinders only
Participants will be exposed to art with great picture books as well as have a chance to become an artist.

Blast Off! Fun with Flight (Harris)
Open to: current 2nd-3rd graders
Students will learn the basic properties of flight, and will apply them in different experiments including rockets and planes. Camp will end with an old-fashioned paper airplane contest.

Cookie Creations! (Crager)
Open to: current 3rd-5th graders (Limit 8)
Students will learn the basic cookie decorating skills and bring home some of their own decorated cookies!

Wednesday, June 5 • Afternoon Camps: 12:30-3pm

Forces of Nature (Harris)
Open to: current 1st-3rd graders
Campers will have the opportunity to harness wind and water energy for work and play. Activities will include STEM activities, ice archaeology, and possible even getting a little bit wet!

Students will learn the basic cookie decorating skills and bring home some of their own decorated cookies!
